Sometimes you feel like a nut.

It’s super easy to get a little crazy at Grand Bahia Principe Turquesa.

This world class resort in the southeast part of the Dominican Republic is jammed with coconut palms. That’s how it earned the nickname “costa del coco” or “coconut coast”.

Scrape off the luxury and all you find is more luxury. Vast white sand beaches, colorful tropical foliage and a wonderful climate year round promises a spectacular vacation at any time.

Wake up and smell the coffee. Take a cup and a seat on your balcony to enjoy the stunning views. A shower or soak in the Jacuzzi will jumpstart your day in paradise.

After coffee it’s the “all you can eat” breakfast buffet. Pile up the bacon, omelette, waffles, and croissants with some fresh fruit. Take it to the finish line with buttery biscuits and hot chocolate.

Grab a towel and swimsuit. You can tan and exercise while you play some beach volleyball. This is a great time to don snorkels and explore the crystal clear water. (bring your underwater camera)

Your first big decision of the day. Stay in the pool and grab a bite from the snack bar or get dressed and head to the selections at the lunch buffet.   When in doubt toast your indecision with something that smells like rum and coconuts.

Take a break and read a book or sunbathe at the water park while the kids have a blast. Don’t miss the water jet palm tree. Share some smiles by joining the kids on the water slides at Grand Bahia Principe Turquesa.

Take the kids with you to the Bahia Spa where they have their own section. You can treat your skin to the famous “chocolate treatment” and a lot more. The spa has a huge “ahh” factor.

Finish the day with tired kids falling fast asleep. There is a rose-petal bed, Jacuzzi, fruit tray and a bottle of cava with two glasses waiting for Mom and Dad at Grand Bahia Principe Turquesa or you could just share a bag of mixed nuts.

Think about those 2 choices and remember … sometimes you feel like a nut.

And sometimes you don’t.
