I did my happy dance when I entered the room.

Every room at Bahia Principe Cayacoa has a view of stunning Samana Bay or the Caribbean Sea. Beautiful king-sized beds, marble bathrooms and stocked mini-bars make every Suite a treat.

The balcony or terrace of all 295 rooms is where many couples relax, recharge, and rejuvenate. The pace is up to you. There is plenty to enjoy every day and night.

Your tummy will know it’s on vacation too.

Guests appreciate the variety of tastes at Las Dalias Restaurant where you can grab breakfast, lunch or dinner buffet-style. It’s International cuisine with fun theme dining at dinnertime.

Remember to make reservations in advance and know the dress code. Normally you will have no problem if you slip into a collared shirt and long pants with shoes.

bahia-experts-travel-diningCheck out Dolce Vita Restaurant for delicious Italian fare with a blush of Mediterranean.   The vegetable lasagna and tiramisu is fabulous.   You can’t go wrong with a wine recommendation from your waiter.

You can ask any of the staff at Grand Bahia Principe Cayacoa to recommend their favorite meals and desserts at the resort.

One of the favorite spots to dine is the a la carte Orquidea Restaurant. I am torn between the beef Carpaccio with berry and parmesan salad or the lamb mignons with crunchy ratatouille.   It’s all yummy.

Seafood junkies can try the savory Seafood Bisque, Seafood Grill or even a Chicken Breast filled with Shrimp. El Pescador is a fun a la carte restaurant with lots of seafood specialties.

After a fine gourmet meal I like to visit the bars. Its fun to met the friendly bartenders and ask them to prepare their personal signature drink. This is the best way to discover the best Caribbean flavors.

The local rums will give the brand labels a run for their money every time. The Mojitos preparations are amazing and everyone should try a Mamajuana.   I dare you to drink just one.

bahia-experts-travel-discoThere are a couple of snack bars open until 7:00 a.m. in the morning with familiar American fast food.   You can grab a bite on your way to the disco.

There are two popular nightspots. The Bachata disco in the resort is throbbing to the wee hours. The Plaza disco is in the entertainment district of Samana located just outside Grand Bahia Principe Cayacoa.

Bring your dancing shoes and enjoy!
