It’s Heaven on Earth.

I drift across the deep blue water near the island with the two shady palm trees to the swim-up bar at Grand Bahia Principe Punta Cana.   This is just the pool.

The food is awesome. Lots of fresh papaya, mango and kiwi. A huge variety of cheeses and pastries. The fish is delicious.

When you’re not soaking up sun there are 16 bars and 6 restaurants to quench your thirst and throw a party for your taste buds. There’s a huge variety of gourmet choices.

You may have heard about the theme country nights at Orquidea. Enjoy the dishes that go with the theme but remember they still have the traditional feast also.   Orquidea serves all three meals.

bahia-experts-travelMy favorite threesome at Le Gourmet is a traditional onion soup starter, followed by smoked salmon and shrimp with Caribbean fruits with sour cream and then lobster vol-au-vent.

I am a lobster vol-au-vent junkie. It’s a light pastry with lobster meat, mushrooms, shallots and tarragon. Be sure to ask for the orange cognac sauce. There’s plenty of yum and rum at Grand Bahia Principe Punta Cana.

The Santa Fe Tex-Mex restaurant has the best tequila shrimp and guacamole. The Garden Grill smells delicious with the Churrasco, Rib-Eye and Beef fillets being charred in the background. But here’s a surprise.

For Filet Mignon, I take a seat the Mikado Japanese Restaurant where I can pair it with a seafood platter. I dare you to resist the ice cream tempura.

Visit El Pescador to try grilled Caribbean fish and shellfish. Local catches and fresh vegetables are the star of the show here.bahia-experts-travel-shuttle

You might have heard about how large the resort is and the distance to other attractions. No worries. There is a trolley/shuttle service that runs constantly. Its fun and I have rarely waited more than 3-6 minutes for a free ride.

Brace yourself for dreamy beaches, white sand and crystal clear water at Grand Bahia Principe Punta Cana.   The climate is perfect for outdoor activities, lengthy beach days and big screen sunsets.

And the water is just heavenly.
